Powerful video sender receives Canadian industry approval

A new tool specifically designed for TV and Film operators recently became the first of its kind in Canada to be ‘industry approved’.

Suitable for any production that needs to transmit video wirelessly on location, the GX-68 UHF Professional Video Sender from RF-Links is the first device of its kind to be industry approved in Canada. The device has a wireless range of up to 600 feet (line-of-sight) that can be extended to over 1km with the use of a M-806 tuner and high-gain antennas. Transmitted video can be received by UHF air TV band channels 14 through 69 (a significant advantage over older models that could transmits only to channels 65 through 69), making it perfect for directors to monitor what is being shot by all roving Steadicams on set.

The device provides dip switches in the back panel and a special new model with an LED display for easy channel changing. A built-in video filter and amplifier guarantee excellent color quality. Measuring 3.2" x 2" x 0.9" in size and encased in solid metal box, the unit is both compact and durable. The video sender is available in NTSC and PAL format and can be powered by either a 12V battery pack or Anton-Bauer 14.6V to 32V battery. The unit uses a professional Hirose connector.
